styling for firefox and IE

hello I installed beautytips.
when hovering over a image that is also a link the tooltip shows. I use a overflow hidden for the region the images are in (is neccessary for styling) now the tooltip is also 'cut off' because of the overflow: hidden. what is it I can do to get the tooltip to be displayed completely? in IE the balloon is completely visible.

and I used the strokestyle in firefox it works but in IE9 the default is beeing used.....

what to do???
