An update from 6.x-1.16 to 1.18 broke tokens for a CCK date field. The tokens were being used by auto_nodetitle and rules and as soon as we spotted it I rolled back to 1.16 which restored the token functionality. I haven't had a chance to debug to see if I can find the cause of the problem yet.
