I have several fields that show this message. It is unlikely that they all use the same view, or that the view is named "view_name". I'm going to guess that this is an unreplaced token in a t().

The field uses the view @view_name to determine referenceable nodes. You will need to manually edit the view and add a display of type 'References'.
