Hi everyone...

Ok, I originally utilised the events module in my site to document and display events (funnily enough) but I'm really not happy with the search method. I love the way everything else works (although have had a bit of CSS trouble with it) I just can't stand the search method.

So i moved to the Calendar module... again loved it but the search method is no exsistant.
I'm not savvy enough with code to knock up my own search form so was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on creating a google style search form (as oppose to drop downs) for either the events or calendar module?

Is there another module I've missed that could help?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Mark

Yes, there is the Search module.

It will search in every content or your web site, and, in the advanced search field set, you can search only in the Event document type, or any other document type selected.

would that be the 'search type' module? I can't seem to find a 'search' module, i just want to be sure I'm picking the right module for the job.

Thanks for getting back to me!

Ok, so i found the 'search' module is core... can anyone please advise on how i can integrate this so it will only search data found in the events module?
could this be configured so it would only search the event module data?

Thanks for any help, I would very much appreciate it...

consider reading the lullabot article Custom search forms with Views and Fastsearch for customizing ideas. you can style the icky grey search box with css, if you wish.

i _think_ you can limit by content type...!?!?

Thanks dude, I'll have a look at that shortly... appreciate your help, if you don't know the way it's easy to get lost!
