Custom search form

Hi there...

Firstly, thanks for such a sweet module... It's proved very helpful to me.
The only thing that's troubling me is the search feilds... I was wondering if/how I can go about creating just a search box (google like) as oppose to having all those drop downs with different dates?

I'm sorry if I've missed something obvious, I'm still fairly new to drupal, so bare with me.

ANY advice will be much appreciated.
