Using list view causes titles to hide

I've duplicated this twice on different installs.

I should note that first, having the view as 'Full node' or 'Teaser' outputs the content correctly. The problem occurs when I just want the title of a node output. I change the Page view to 'List item', add 'Node: title' under fields, and I get most of the output. What is not output is the actual text (node title) within the anchor. For example, my anchors are output like (nothing inside). The same thing occurs with 'Table view', the table rows and columns are output, anchors as well, but no text within the anchor.
