Cropping just doesn't work

Description
Tried in FFox2 and Safari2 without success.
After selecting and uploading the user picture, the image crop bounding box appears with handles on all edges.
The cropper is the size of the uploaded image, however there is no user picture preview displayed, just the text label 'preview'.
However clicking on a handle sends the image cropper box off to the left mostly outside of the page.

Problems like this should go away once I get this using jQuery rather than the scriptaculous version. In the meantime, what do your resizer module directories look like? As in, what files have you put under the module directory?

this is because you guys set the incorrect temp file folders in drupal.
please check Home › Administer › Site configuration > File system
Temporary directory:
Location where uploaded files will be kept during previews. Relative paths will be resolved relative to the Drupal installation directory.
please ensure relative path entered here.
