Just at the subject says, the CCK phone number field appears to leave the little 'x' in the CCK value when a node is edited that uses one of these fields with an extension.

Am I behind the times here, assuming this has been fixed? If not, I'm betting this is an easy fix but I'm not sure where to start (I'd try to fix it myself).
