Event start date always: Dec 31 1969 - 8:00pm
I have seen a variety of posts on this general topic (the date always being locked to 1969 or 1970 for different module functions) but have not been able to find a fix that works. Not sure if this is an event issue, a date api issue, or another issue all together. I do know that the date displays the same for authorized and unauthorized users and for users from different time zones (saw that issue on another thread.)
I'd appreciate any incite that could be offered to send me in the right direction. I have already tried loading the dev versions of both event and the date api without forward progress.
Thanks.

bacchus101 commentedScratch the date api part. I did not realize it was not a required pre-req to event. I found a thread about this issue occurring with UIE Forum, but strangely I do not have this issue with UIE Forum yet do with Event.

They offer a variety of queries that can be run on the database to resolve the issue there and I am wondering if those schema updates can be reworked to attack my issue with Events.
Again, any help would be appreciated.

cmtcadmin commentedFWIW, I had a similar problem, but with only one user account. In that case, the user's name had been changed. After I deleted and created the account (all the existing content went to Anonymous, but I don't really care at this point), a test appears to be fine. We'll see.

dr00b commentedI had installed a development version of this from authors website, had problems, then when I went back to this version I had the problems described above, so came looking here. So I deactivated and then uninstalled the module, then re-enabled it and the problem went away. Something to try at least!

bstrange commentedI am having the same problem. I downloaded the dev version of Event(event-5.x-2); which incidentally works GREAT but had to revert back to this one as eventrepeat-5.x-1.0 doesn't work with that version. After I switched beck to this version (event-5.x-1.0), all events are Dec 31 1969 - 8:00pm.
This occurs regardless of whether eventrepeat-5.x-1.0 or whether all day event is selected, etc.
A bit of humor, with eventrepeat on, it created the event all the way back to 1969 on the calendar... :P

bwv commentedI did a clean install of event-5.x-1.0 and event repeat and did not have this problem. I think it occurs only when you revert to an earlier version of the event module, as bstrange describes. I did the same thing and am having the same issue. That was why I tested to see what would happen with a clean install.

bstrange commentedThere is now a working dev version compatible with the newest event, which is much nicer (more efficient) than the original. I went ahead and installed the newest dev release of both event repeat and event last night and it's working like a charm :)

bacchus101 commentedClosing as I just received 300+ emails in the last hour from drupal.org reminding me of this project for some strange reason.....
