Hi,

Could you please help me on this? My customer says we can't subscribe logged in users with the default checkbox, as they might not be aware of what they're doing... so they want to see the subscription form for both anonymous and logged in users...
I know, I know... but I have to do what the customer is asking for...
Could you please help me on this?

Maybe you could use the webform_mailchimp module:
http://drupal.org/project/webform_mailchimp

Create a webform with a mailchimp signup checkbox, and use this instead of the standard mailchimp block.

Fret not! The 7.x-4.x and 8.x versions come highly recommended. Both are using Mailchimp’s new API 3.0 and are being actively maintained. “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!”
