Thanks for direction. Certainly make perfect sense but label remains. The hidden option in manage display does remove it from the full version of article but it persists on the front page post. When I go into manage fields, I get the following message:
There is data for this field in the database. The field settings can no longer be changed.
Only other thing I can think of is a setting for front page. Thanks again. Bruce
