Are there install instructions for the 2.x version of resp_img? Looking over the readme and project page the directions appear to be for the 1.x version. So I'm not quite sure how to get this setup to test.

7.x-2.x isn't stable for the moment, but to install the easiest is to install breakpoints first, add some breakpoints, add some breakpoint groups and then install resp_img 7.x-2.x

resp_img will automatically pickup the already defined breakpoints groups and allows you to map each breakpoint inside a group to an image style

for the output you can edit the display formatter and select a responsive image style

Jelle_S is chaning a lot for the moment in the 7.x-2.x version, so better wait a couple of days before testing.

I just wanted to double check and see if 7.x-2.x is ready for me to start testing? I saw a new version was checked in a few days ago.

Ok, I'm going ahead and using the Sep-03 dev version to see how this plays out.

One thing I noticed off the bat is that trying to use it with views_slideshow isn't working. I'll make a separate issue for that however.

Wanted to provide an update...

I've been able to install 2.x and get it working with an image on a node, inserting an image inline from media module, and as part of views slideshow. Took me a bit to figure it all out so I'll try to get it written up, but it appeared to be working for my limited test cases.

thanks for testing, a small how to would be great, because some people get different results

We tried 2.x for a while but couldn't get it working .

We got the breakpoints, media queries, but adding a responsive style makes 3 styles which are empty (and have spacial characters in their names so you can't really edit them). At that point we're pretty much stuck.

Is there a specific setup/howto which I could test with 2.x?

@askibinski, we're going to move this to picture, see #1757518: D7 backport of Picture but it will be different

@askibinski... I'll try to get something written up. I've been distracted but i'll see what I can do over the next few days.

@attiks... Re: #7... are you saying that part of resp_img is being moved to picture? I'm not quite understanding that statement.

attiks’s picture

#8 it is moved already for Drupal 8, it is mainly to make my life easier, and to make sure that people can update from 7 to 8 without to much problems.

For the moment everything remains the same, and I'm going to backport picture 8 to picture 7, once that is done, I'll see how different resp_img 7.x-2.x and picture 7.x-1.x are, if they still are similar I'm going to merge them into picture.

Old issue, I think you better update to the picture module
