I have some requests for comments on my site to be displayed in a dedicated page (containing only the comments), instead of the homepage. I can't find any way to do so with the comments core module, so I suspect it is a good candidate for a feature request.

Update: my feature request seems of the same order of magnitude as this one (changing the number of comments), which is planned for Drupal 6, so I have some hope for an early (positive) answer…

Version: 6.x-dev » 7.x-dev

I'm afraid that it's too late for Drupal 6. D6 is in the code-freeze over 2 months now, first beta release is out... This is just pre-release final debug going on now for D6. Features should go into Drupal 7, as soon as it starts to be developed, right?

No Drupal 6.1 planned?

As far as I understand the versioning policy here, 6.1 (and perhaps 6.2, 6.3....) will be just bug-fixing releases, just as 5.1 and 5.2 was. I think 7.x development will start right after 6.0 is released. Personally, I only just arrived here recently, and I'm a bit sad about being unable to submit any new features to Drupal for months - but I learned that these 'frozen' phases are necessary to have some version ever released. Code needs some time of debugging-only, before final release, to put out a really working thing.

Just hang on, there surely will be a better time for new features... :)

This would be a great feature to have!

Status: Active » Closed (won't fix)

This issue is a year and a half old and a moot point now with Views 2. Unless someone objects, I'm just going to mark this "won't fix". It doesn't seem like a necessary function of the core comments module to me.
