I have some requests for comments on my site to be displayed in a dedicated page (containing only the comments), instead of the homepage. I can't find any way to do so with the comments core module, so I suspect it is a good candidate for a feature request.

David Latapie commentedUpdate: my feature request seems of the same order of magnitude as this one (changing the number of comments), which is planned for Drupal 6, so I have some hope for an early (positive) answer…

JirkaRybka commentedI'm afraid that it's too late for Drupal 6. D6 is in the code-freeze over 2 months now, first beta release is out... This is just pre-release final debug going on now for D6. Features should go into Drupal 7, as soon as it starts to be developed, right?

David Latapie commentedNo Drupal 6.1 planned?

JirkaRybka commentedAs far as I understand the versioning policy here, 6.1 (and perhaps 6.2, 6.3....) will be just bug-fixing releases, just as 5.1 and 5.2 was. I think 7.x development will start right after 6.0 is released. Personally, I only just arrived here recently, and I'm a bit sad about being unable to submit any new features to Drupal for months - but I learned that these 'frozen' phases are necessary to have some version ever released. Code needs some time of debugging-only, before final release, to put out a really working thing.
Just hang on, there surely will be a better time for new features... :)

sambtaylor commentedThis would be a great feature to have!

rszrama commentedThis issue is a year and a half old and a moot point now with Views 2. Unless someone objects, I'm just going to mark this "won't fix". It doesn't seem like a necessary function of the core comments module to me.
