some general comments:
1) The text is displayed in gray colour under the node. In future versions I would like to choose whether the text will be black and italic and display it anywhere in the node. It causes some problems with the Amazon_items module because the licence is displayed under the Amazon items, not above them.
2) I am forced to choose a site copyright, but in my case I only want node copyrights.
The most serious :
3) I am forced to choose just one licence for each node, for no reason. In my case I want to choose 2,3 or even 4 licences for the same node. That means it should use checkboxes, not option boxes. There is no good reason to assume that all users use a single licence per node. In my case, I love to dual-license or even triple-license. I know I can circumvent this by creating a new licence, but it isnt good design. Ideally, the module should have an admin option "allow multi-licensing?" and when checked on it should display checkboxes, when checked off it should display option boxes.

veridicus commented1) The color can be changed in your theme or in the CSS file. Color and font options will remain strictly with themes. The module sets defaults. The theme decides how to actually display it.
2) If a site copyright is chosen and block and footer display are turned off then it's merely a default for nodes. Maybe it should be changed so if both block and footer are turned off then node copyrights will always display with the node.
3) From what I've seen multiple licensing of one web page is extremely rare. Almost every document out there contains one license. With drupal we're trying to keep admin options to a minimum. If more people want it I'll consider it.
