What would I use to make drupal a review site?

There are several modules which might help. I have not sorted them out.

As a matter of fact, I just went live yesterday with a site for reviewing beer! See my signature. I'm using plain old comments as my "reviews". I don't see a need for anything fancier. I'm also using voting_api and fivestar. On my site, the 5-star votes are separate from the comments. I like this better because I think it's more flexible. You can comment on something but not rate it or vice-versa. You can revisit the node and change your vote without editing your comment. Plus, some node types have comments enabled but not 5-star ratings. I'd say that the core comment module, voting_api, and fivestar are all you really need. You could set basic functionality up in just a few days (minus the time it takes to learn drupal). It took me about a month to get what I have set up but I spent most of that time on customizations, research, and data entry.

I especially liked the idea of using the comment module to que the material just in case people get out of hand. Here's my situation and questions:

I already use comments for numerous story node types. How can duplicate that functionality so users can suggest stores and products for example as you have done with breweries and beers. Seems like CCK would be the best way to do that.

I'm stumped on how to get that comment functionality and associated que that u have. All help appreciated. Please be specific as I am a clutz technically, but I am learning :-). Thanks. Thomas
