Hello,
In our application, we would like all users to be able to change the author of the nodes they create (to be able to delegate node creation to other persons).
What do you think of such a functionality?

A feature such as this would have to be developed in 7.x I would think.

There is a module for Drupal 4.7 and 5.x : http://drupal.org/project/edit_authoring_info
but the version for 5.x does not work: http://drupal.org/node/187336
