[help] dynamically-displayed image block linked to other pages

Hi,
I am trying to design a main page of my website. The main page needs to have a block (or a table) showing random photos which are stored in a Drupal image files directory.
You can imagine like 'today's photos'. The images in the block need to be automatically/randomly changed every 10 seconds. When a visitor clicks one of the image displayed, then the main page should go to the spefic webpage showing the image selected and it's description.

Anyone can give me a solution or even advice for me?
