Zen + i18n: "node-xx" body class disappears

On non-English pages the "page-node-#" class is missing, where # is the node id. I've tried creating css styles that use the "page-title" class but they have no effect. (because of the accents? special characters...who knows?) But I'd rather rely on the node id anyway and not the page title.
