Listing stories with the same creation month on separate pages

I hope someone out there can help me. What I want is to list the teasers of all stories created the same month on separate pages and then have a menu with items such as September 2007, October 2007, November 2007, and so forth, linking to these pages. The menu items should be created automatically as soon as there is a story with that particular creation month and year. I messed about a bit with arguments in the views module, but couldn't quite get my head around it. Thanks!
