the comments have disappeared from my site:

they are still physically there in the database, and people can still leave comments, but they can't be displayed. i've tried replacing the comment.moduel with the HEAD module but that doesn't seem to do it. I've tried different themes and it's not a problem with that. any ideas? if anyone wants to snoop around in the database, i'd be happy to send them a copy, as well as the site's files.

Perhaps your theme is broken. Try switch to one of the standard themes to verify this. I don't think it's a setting issue because the "add new comment" link is there.

i've tried switching the theme around. also, comments used to work with that theme and i haven't touched it. i assume the database got corrupted somehow. any way to find the problem?

i disabled the comments module for now. let me know if you any ideas though.
