custom view modes not available in views

Thanks for such nice module, I also was trying your patch on Entity reference
The custom view modes are not listed in the view create page
Basically my use case is:
I have a node of content type job,
user creates am application using entity reference , entity reference prepopulate and prepopulate create node links modules.

The problem:
After creating the new node the link remain there I wanted to remove the link from there

Plan A:
Create 2 modes , one for the view with link and another without the link I don't know how to go further on restricting a view based on condition, If we have view modes exposed to permissions I can use rules to set permission using content access rules integration

Plan B: remove the link conditionally using rules
This is more simple if we have the link availability conditions in rules.

Any help please?
