on both my dev site and my live site, i have set up leech and taxonomy to work together, when i add the url i also tell the leech items are to be categorised under a taxonomy term.
leech works and new items are updated.

i had not noticed for a day that the leech items were not being categorised via their taxonomy terms. however, this is true for both sites. i have deleted all items "leeched" via the feed because of this problem.

i m not sure what further details are required for trouble shooting.

admin/settings/leech/advanced configuration/Pass on taxonomy from feed to feed items - enable this
