Seraching for a module that makes proper ending of strings

Hello All,
I am searching for a module that will take care of the word breakage while making sub string of the content string. For example , when I make a sub string it looks like
"Although many human cultures sou" , but I want it to look like "Although many human cultures sought " or "Although many human cultures" .

I remember that somewhere i came across a module that take care of this feature, but unfortunately I could not remember the name of that module and unable to find it.

If anybody knows, please let me know. It will be of great help to me.
