yannisc commentedI just tried to install and didn't get that error. Can you please provide more info on your configuration?
alexweber commentedSure, I'm running a OSX Homebrew-based setup with MySQL and PHP 5.3 running strict mode.
yannisc commentedWas the db empty?
Is there a possibility to try again just to check that this wasn't parodic?
alexweber commented@yannisc yeah totally empty, it was my 1st time ever installing it
ill do a re-run over here and see if that still happens

alexweber commentedI re-downloaded, created a new database and re-installed. This time I did however alter the profile's .info to enable Database Logging so I could debug this properly. Related issue: #1785096: Database Logging shouldn't be disabled by default
I got the same eror:
but managed to track it in the log:
Something to do with importing commerce products it loos like!

yannisc commentedthanks alexweber! We'll dig into that!

alexweber commentednp!
yannisc commentedI installed the 1.1 version which has database logging enabled, but I don't get any error on the logs. Everything is clean.
Besides that, I checked the file profiles/opendeals/demo_content/products.txt which is meant to import the initial, demo products, there's only one product with SKU 128, so I don't understand why should this be a "duplicate entry" on an empty db.
