I am using UC 6.x-2.7 and Discount Coupons 6.x-1.7. We recently ran into a situation where a store administrator applied a line item discount to an order and then attempted to use a coupon which the customer had. In doing so, the coupon registered a value of -$486 thereby negating all discounts granted by the line item discount.

Has anyone else seen this, does anyone know how to fix it?

Attaching a screenshot of this problem for additional information.

It looks like the "line-item discount" is actually a product, an that the coupon is attempting to apply to a product with a negative price, thus producing a positive adjustment to the total. You need to make sure that the coupon is configured not to apply to that product.

The "line-item discount" is a product. However, configuring the coupon to not apply to that product (under the Applicable Products fieldset) does not resolve the issue. I have my coupons configured to apply to the order subtotal, could the discount somehow not be getting included in the order subtotal before the coupon is added?

Sorry this is so delayed. The last few months have been hectic. If you are still experiencing this issue, can you provide a screenshot of the coupon settings form? Do you have other restrictions on the coupon? It's likely that there is some other setting that is preventing the coupnn from excluding that product.
