I am creating a new site for a customer and seem to be completely lost in the eCommerce behaviour.

I have followed several different versions of the installation manual for eCommerce 3.3 ( 4, etc. ) and searched through the fora, all to no effect.

This site, at the moment, has only one product, and the client would like their customers to click on a "Buy Now" type of button, and go straight to the Checkout process. However, at the moment, I am just trying to get _something_ to work. I have enabled Generic Product and PayPal, and tried installing SkipCart, which has some bugs, so I disabled that.

In "Store" I have checked both boxes, "User adds product using link" and "User is directed to shopping cart". I have checked and there are no 404 errors. I have installed the Devel package, and am trying to trace things, but everything looks correct up to the point where all that happens when I click on either of the buttons on the shopping cart page: "Update Cart" and "Checkout" simply return to the Home page.

I have tried it with PayPal, C.O.D. and both, with no difference.

What have I done wrong, since I am sure that there is something that I have done incorrectly?

Thanks,
Brian ( apparently new to Drupal eCommerce )
