I've used Mobile Tools on a Drupal 6 install before and loved the experience - once I had installed the module with Browsecap I was able to select what to do with which devices and it all worked out.

However, I've just done a fresh install of the latest 7.x release of Mobile Tools along with the latest version of Browsecap and something seems wrong - on the config page @ admin/config/system/mobile-tools/edit/mobile for the default Device Group, I can't seem to choose which actual devices the 'mobile' settings should apply to > I can only choose browsers and Browsecap is the only Device Detection option in the pulldown (except for setting it as 'Disabled')

How do I chose which specific device to apply the 'mobile' Device Group to? The problem with just blanket setting an OS specific site version is, of course, that some devices might use the same OS but not display the same styling correctly - specifically, my ipad is showing the version of the site I've contextually created for iPhones and Ipods (i.e. handsets) and I can't find anywhere to choose device-related settings to correct this!?!?

I really hope someone can shed some light on this...

Thanks,

Qasim

You can setup different device groups at admin/config/system/mobile-tools I think for making different version for iphone and ipad. (Add Device Group)

You have to actually select the single user agents ("Select user agents for this group ") for the ipad instead of using the parent user agents.

I would be curious how you set up the rest..for me the device based contexts are not working at all.

I can't seem to get device detection working quite right. I have Browscap detection enabled and the module is patched and has the most up-to-date list installed.

I tried using the default selections for "Select parent browser agents for this group" but it applies to ALL mobile devices, including Tablets, which isn't what I want. So I cleared the list and instead selected the specific user agents under "Select user agents for this group". However the redirect doesn't get triggered when I load the page from a device with the selected user agents.
