Issue Summary
This is an old (from 2008) documentation page for Solr, but it essentially is instructions for locally hacking a contrib module.
I'm curious to know why that is something we would publish as a documentation page on d.o.
Again, this is an old page, so it's probably not a pressing issue, but it seems to me that this creates confusion as to whether this is an appropriate way of using Drupal.

you are right, we shouldnt keep such pages as part of the community docs.
