The alt attribute on each slide in the demonstration at http://demo.coldfrontlabs.ca/content/flex-slider is empty. As webmaster for a government agency, I cannot utilize this plugin if it does not support alt attribute values for use in Drupal. If the demonstration were to show alt attributes, that would establish that the module supports alt attributes.

The version on that page is from 1.x

The 2.x version can incorporate generic elements into the slider. So your default image handling in Views which does output the alt attributes should work just fine with FlexSlider.

I'll make a note to update the demo and include one which has an active alt attribute.

The examples module lets you see and set both title and alt text for images in the slider.
