Is Shiny usable, or planned to be usable, for an entire Drupal admin backend? Or just Commerce areas to start? One of my favorite themes for admin, Rubik, is great- but has issues in D7 when it comes to the Views UI and other JS/ajax heavy interfaces. I would love to move away from Seven if I could. I will give this a try.

Hi kevinquillen,

For the most part, it should work as a complete back end, and definitely works with Views UI and Rules interfaces (since those are requirements for Commerce). I'm currently testing on other Drupal installs as well as the Kickstart installation, so just be sure to post an issue if you give it a try and notice something that isn't quite right. Since it's still in development, we're hoping to find these types of glitches and fix them.

I was using Seven for a while as a base theme for my admin themes, and since commerce_kickstart_admin_theme, i saw that it could be a good admin theme even without Kickstart. Seeing it now as the new theme Shiny was a good news and i'm willing to work together to improve things here, because a good admin theme is something that most Drupal projects lacks.

I'm using in only one project actually, with Kickstart, but i'll keep in touch if something happens in my new projects(i'll change the admin theme from some other projects and start to receive final users feedback.

We've been doing a lot of work to make this compatible outside of kickstart. I'm going to mark this issue as complete, since new issues can be created if bugs are found.
