I made an issue over at the Alinks, but there does not seem to be any new developments with that module. http://drupal.org/node/1667652.

Essentially, alinks and content injector conflict when both are activated. This problem exists on Drupal 6 and 7. When activated separately, they work perfectly.

My goal is to use Alinks to enjoy SEO benefits of automatically linking to specific pages, and the monetization of adsense.

Alinks appears to be in need of a maintainer and seems to have no stable release for D7. If someone takes up the Alinks project which looks like a very useful tool for newspaper and media websites, I'll look at fixing both modules.
