IMHO
Some things I would like to see:
-Lots and lots of examples of more advanced and complex modules with explanations
-Form_alter examples along with validation and submission code
-Effective ways to use and alter the views and cck module
Good luck

You may want to read this article:

It really delves into the issue that most people that install Drupal have: That Drupal is written BY developers FOR developers. The average administrator may take several weeks/months to learn how to properly set up a decent website using Drupal. If you can cover even half of the issues covered in the article, that would be a great step.

Detailed explanation of modules in D6
I have a reasonable handle on creating modules for D5 although I occasionally run into stumbling blocks. However, D6 looks much sleeker and more advanced and I'd like a heads start on creating modules for it. Heck, maybe you should create this book for D7 since it's already in development.
