Here is a patch for the 5.x-2.0-alpha10 release that enables Postgres support, tested (not very thoroughly) against 8.1.9. Installs and uninstalls without errors, but I can't provide a good report of how functional it is.

Update to previous patch to include sequence for {panels_pane}_pid. I have tested this a bit, and so far, everything is working well!

YAY! This is awesome! I've committed this; hopefully there are few errors, but I'd really appreciate it if you'd keep an eye on the issue queue for pgsql specific db problems.
