Are these for the end-user? Meaning when I create a view and output in a table with a sort, I would like the user to be able to click an up/down icon. How do you install this file?

#6: Yes these are licensed under the GPL
#7: No, these are not meant for the end-user but for the Views administration pages where you click these icons to sort (for example) sorting filters or sorting criteria. I don't know how you could use these to handle sorting by end-users.

Are these going to be added? If so, it looks like they need to be made in to a sprite with the 'over' state.

The actual icons that got added were derived from these but are not these.
