I created this comparison of encryption modules and would love it if:

1. You could help update it to have more details about the differences in the modules.
2. You would link to it from the project page to help people compare them

I'm still very open to the idea of making aes module rely on encrypt module and as far as I can tell the encrypt module is providing everything that aes might need for that #607918-3: Combination with AES Module.

@greggles, I provided a link on AES module mainpage to the document your created.

Also updated some basic info, so I'd rather say your topics 1&2 completed.

I am just started maintaining the module and probably do not know all background, so idea of making one of module relying of other at the moment is not very clear for me :)
