I'm curious why the images are so large (up to 345k for the header!). Has there been any effort to reduce these file sizes or does it just come with the territory? I'm afraid I'd be stuck with a slow loading page if I go with this theme.

Attached is the header as an optimised PNG.

jacineThe images have been optimzed and the CSS has been compressed. See version 5.1. The overall package has been reduced to 1/5 of the original size.
