PDO and the new Database API

Larry "Crell" Garfield is working on a modernization of the Drupal database API, based on the new PDO backend in PHP 5. Come see the new API in progress, what it will offer, and what it will change.

I thought the talk went well, although unfortunately I didn't have as much time at the end as I wanted for Q&A and feedback. The slides from the talk are attached to this page. There's also code in my sandbox ("crell"), in the file pdo.php. Expect it to keep changing as it's developed, though. :-)

Since the slides are not very useful without my running commentary, I recommend the video.
