hello,
I'm wondering if you're planning to expand this module to do the same thing for Profiles. As we know Profile fields are not comatible with taxonomies and 1001 problems as well as advantages are creted because of this.
But here is what I was thinking: once a user creates an account and enters his profile fields (country, city, interests, workplace etc) he will see his own *Matchmaker* block on the side, which will display 10 people he might be interested in (based on what he has entered in his profile fields, and based on what Admin decides should be the priority fields).
Will this be possible?
I think this would be a great tool for Social Networking side of drupal.

jjeff commentedYes. We have had this problem with Drupal's profile system in the past.
We have solved it by using bio module to create node-based profiles and then use the normal node-oriented stuff (CCK, taxonomy, Views) with them.
There are no plans to make this module work with non-node content.

rmiddle commentedLooks like a lot of work to duplicate an already existing feature. It looks like jjeff isn't interested in doing it as well. Marking won't fix.

fionakeenan commentedInteresting! I find the best matchmaker to be one of the many dating services that are online!
