This is useful but the real need IMO is to expose email message content so that clients can edit them easily (just as they can edit account messages in core) with the correct role permissions. I don't want my clients to have to come back to me whenever they need to edit their messages. There is no way that they would be able to edit a template file.

Is there any chance of this being developed?

Yes. It would be possible to set up a form where the site administrators could enter the message content. It could use tokens to customize the message to a certain extent. The content generated by the PHP in the template would not be available, of course, but it would still be useful at many sites.

However, that's a separate project, and not something that would be appropriate for this module. The proper place for the feature request would be http://drupal.org/project/issues/ubercart. Someone there might pick it up.

In the meantime, please test this module and report if it works. I need a positive result from a user before I try to promote it to a full project.
