Although I've read some similar situations, the solutions given have not solved this problem for me.
I changed the temporary directory to sites/default/files/tmp yet in some cases I get ImageCache already generating.
To fix it, I always have to manually delete the images from directory sites/default/files/tmp.
How can I solve this?

applied this patch and now seems to be working.
