Integration with Field API: Declare votes for each node as a field [#1806290]

This is a major feature, and probably won't be implemented until v3.0 or even at all, but how about declaring the votes as a field?

Since a few weeks I am the only (active) maintainer of this project. My current focus is on bug-fixing and decrufting. While I have comment access to the repository I still lack permissions to create new releases (a 2.7 release is already tagged in the repo).

For further information on this take a look at #1397874: VotingAPI module in need of maintainer care (more/new?) . In the comments you can also find design drafts for the feature that you've mentioned.
