Geolocation Widget Doesn't Save Data into Geofield

After some research and testing, it seems like the best option for me is to use geofield with geolocation module for input, so I can then later integrate with various mapping solution like openlayers. The geolocation module/field works fine but when I use Geofield with Geolocation Input and I try to save with geofield with geolocation input, it doesn't seem to save the data correctly. In fact, it doesn't save at all. When I change to text input via lat/long, it is fine. But as geolocation input (widget = Google Map), it's not working.

I'm not sure if this issue should be posted into geofield but I thought I'd start the dialogue here.
