One interesting feature might be to show a few, most used / hottest, tags next to / below the input field. Like Thingiverse does with Tags.
This might further promote the use of existing terms.

i would like to see this feature too! i remember, there was a module that could do this... but i dont remember the name.
would be awesome to see this feature integrated into autocomplete deluxe!
