www.plaxo.com is offering a php script for free for importing from many email services like aol and others..

cld u use those and integrate with yours??

i couldn't see any free scripts there!!, may be you meant free or trial service!
plus, what is the license that they are using?, dcl_importer uses GPL and i doubt that they are using it!
if you do have an access to their free scripts and those scripts can be opened under any open source license then can you please post them here?

This cannot be integrated into dcl_importer for the following reasons
1- Those are not PHP scripts or even scripts.
2- This is a service and i cannot integrate the module into a service because the module wasn't intended to work like that.
3- This is not an open source solution rather its a free service.
4- Security issues, how do you trust them on your user's accounts?!!

As soosa mentioned, there is no incentive to switch to a 3rd party provider when we have working PHP scripts.

i accept ur points..didnt know that the scripts are not extractable.

however i found that they can import from certain places we still cant with our scripts..like from outlook or hotmail etc..

can we get these integrated in our module...so we are at least equal if not better than their service.
