rszrama commentedThis would be great, as I was just confused about what the "MailChimp list" parameter was supposed to be in the provided Rules action. I assumed it was the List ID from the MailChimp list as shown in the MailChimp user interface, not that it was the entity ID of the local mailchimp_list entity.
Side note: I don't see why the module doesn't just provide a select list, since it's doubtful there are going to be hundreds of lists available. : )

rszrama commentedHah, never mind, the local list ID didn't work either. So I'm still clueless. : P

jsibley commentedI've seen elsewhere that one has to look up the list id on the mailchimp website on the settings page for that list. It would be great to have an identifier that would be accessible from within drupal.
It would be great to have documentation for checking that someone isn't already on a list before adding them within rules.

jsibley commentedI was mistaken. The List ID is the machine name of the list as shown within Drupal. It is shown on the Edit List page at: admin/config/services/mailchimp/lists/x/edit where x is the list number (I believe).

amytswan commented“And now our watch [for support of the 7.x-2.x version of the MailChimp module] has ended…” With the approaching deprecation of MailChimp’s API version 2.0, I’m sad to say we too must turn the page. This branch will become unsupported in early October and officially deprecated by the end of this year (2016).
Fret not! The 7.x-4.x and 8.x versions come highly recommended. Both are using Mailchimp’s new API 3.0 and are being actively maintained. If you find this issue still exists on either the 7.x-4.x or 8.x branches, let us know by opening a new ticket. “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!”
