A novice working to take over admin of existing site.
Site is Drupal 6.14 with PHP 5.3.15
Webform installed & worked until some time around late May 2012, no changes in site admin or files.
Wondering if I can update the module without doing major upgrade of Drupal (although I understand both the module & Drupal will need comprehensive upgrade soon.) Hoping that will be the fix.
Need the form working ASAP and not sure exactly how to proceed.

I'd be very surprised if Webform 2.7 runs properly on this new a version of PHP. The 2.7 version almost 3.5 years old. So giving an upgrade a shot is probably a good idea, as newer versions of Webform are going to work better with newer versions of PHP. Before you upgrade, be sure to make a database backup in case a problem occurs in the upgrade. You should be able to replace 2.7 with the 3.18 version directly and running update.php should migrate you to the latest database changes.
