I've embeded the youtube link for video to play, when I click "preview" in drupal node before publishing I get this message "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://www.mysite.com/etc.... operation aborted" once I close the IE's pop up message the image immediatly goes to "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

Using Drupal 5.2 and IE 7. I know IE is bad etc...but want to know why this happning.

Is everybody else having the same problem?

Can your IE7 view a video on YouTube.com?

Do you have scripts blocked?

Did you set Full HTML for the node when you saved it?

Do you need to set up certain tags to use the module?

Can Firefox view it?

What if you paste in the YouTube embed code directly (as Full HTML)?

I can watch YouTube on IE 7 no problem. So I guess if I had any scripts blocked it wouldn't let me watch youtube on other people's sites, which I can.

I set HTML as full still no luck. and I did embed the Youtube code directly, that is what Im having problem with.

You said it doesn't work when you preview ... Does it work after you submit the node?

How does Firefox compare in behavior?

I am getting this same behaviour...did you ever fix it?

It works on all other browsers except IE7.

And I removed the YouTube code and the node was then fine...and it behaved the same whether I had it set to full HTML or filtered.

I got around this issue by using the 'filtered HTML' input format and customize that format to allow most HTML tags and excluded the

and tags (as they are the ones causing the problem with the embed code you get from YouTube. I don't know if this has any other repercussions for other embedded codes but you could create a custom input format that you choose on just nodes with YouTube code embedded.
