With the actual settings of the Aggregator module, articles older than 16 weeks are discarded. As consequence, a feed with 20 articles older than 4 months would not have any article visible on Drupal Planet.

Should not the requirements include a restriction about the publication date of the articles? If such restriction is not required, the requirements should at least have a reminder about that, as it is not clear to everybody that the Aggregator module is discarding older posts, and that is the reason why what appears in Drupal Planet is different from what appears in the original feed.

Added link to the requirements page.

+1 for adding a reminder to avoid confusion. I don't think we need a formal requirement but it wouldn't hurt. For reviewing purposes at least one relatively recent article is usually requested anyways.

I am adding a word of advise at http://drupal.org/planet/guidelines

edit: would if I could :(
If somebody with the right permissions could simply add one sentence explaining the four month thing, we should be fine.

If you have any suggestion about what to add, and where to add it, I can edit that page. I was hoping somebody else would chime in so this would not be a unilateral change.

Imho it would be sufficient to add one sentence to the first paragraph explaining the 16-weeks discard limit. Probably after Planet Drupal is focused only on Drupal content and does not contain all posts, regardless of topic, as some other planet-style project feeds do.?

Hi @dddave and @kiamlaluno, do we need another set of eyes on this issue to get it done?

No. This is good to go. I was lacking edit privileges for that page at the time but can do it now. I'll do it tomorrow and take a look if the page needs other edits.
