Can someone please help me figure this out? I am trying to simply discount a product by a fixed amount or make a product a fixed price (in either case the product needs to end up being $120) when a coupon is applied, but when I choose either "fixed value discount" or "set product price" discount it doesn't calculate properly.

I attempt to create a coupon using "fixed value discount" and enter the amount 29.90 to discount the $149.90 product to $120.00. When I apply the coupon, cart display a discount of the full price of the item, $-149.90. Where did that come from?

When I use "set product price" and enter "=120" in the field and apply the coupon, the cart displays a coupon value of $0.

How do I do this?

DickSwart, I was not able to get this to work. I ended up providing a percentage discount instead. The client wasn't happy about it, but it was close enough.

I can't reproduce this problem. Both fixed discount and set price work as expected for me. Can you post the coupon settings page and list of other modules you have enabled?
