Just finished upgrading from D6 to D7 and wanted to share this community site/wiki

Back in 2009 we built this site using Mediawiki. In 2010 we ported it to Drupal 6, and just today I finished upgrading the site to Drupal 7. Drive the Americas is a wiki in that anyone can edit and contribute information. We have a very active user base and average around 150-200 unique visitors every day.

We decided to build this site when we drove our car from San Francisco CA, USA to the tip of South America (Ushuaia). Along the way we were frustrated by the lack of a central source of information about driving in Latin America, borders, scams, places to camp etc.
